2023 will mark the 39th running of this popular flat and fast marathon. The race is organised by a committee of volunteers mainly from Abingdon AC and will again incorporate the following championship events: Oxfordshire County Marathon Championships and Army AA Marathon Championships. In addition to putting on a first class event for the competitors, the organisers aim to support a number of local charities and the main beneficiaries over recent years have included Helen & Douglas House, Maggie’s Centres, SeeSaw, The Abingdon Bridge and The Archway Foundation.  This year's main charity will be Stormbreak who aim to improve children's mental health through movement.
