Excellent event
More toilets and work out how not to queue for back age drop off. Overall a great event and lots of marshalls appreciated.

Great marathon
Nicholas Marsh
Good well organised community event
Would be better if provision results published sooner
Stephen Plummer
A good race, although the course has some harder off road sections.
Like a lot of races they need a lot more toilets in the start area. The queue was massive, and only just made the start.
Richard Hart
A great experience for my first Marathon. Marshals were fantastic.
The support from the volunteers was great. Also, loads of local Abingdon people were cheering us on, even in the rain.
Robert Collier
Excellent route

A big local race. Incredibly well organised
What joy there is to find in such a volunteer and community oriented marathon. None of this big commercial rubbish. *Almost as simple and effective as a race needs to be.
Please keep this race as simple and race-like as possible.
My only main complaint is how soon the athletes were called to gather at the start. It felt a bit too long, the field is not that big that it takes more than 10 minutes. Some guide posts like where to stand if you're predicting to run in different times could have been useful in that respect. That would probably allow you to gather for the start with no more than 5 minutes to start.
I guess also, I had to DNF (sad), and as much as I am aware of and knew that I should tell marshalls, they obviously saw me stop and pull out and I spoke to one of them but he didn't take any note of it. This could be communicated to them.

As ever, this race is brilliant!
Cheryl Hanns
Very well organised
Quiet area & runner shelter are really good
Gregory Penn
Well organised event
Personally I prefer races on road. Too many paths, pavements and steps. And a few tight spot that could be improved
Overall though a good experience
Simon Tootell
Excellent event
More toilets please.
Nina Sarpong
Great race for a PB!
Great well organised event.
In the female changing rooms inside the sports park there were no feminine hygiene products.
Can the gender age splits be in line with others marathons 40-44 45-49 50-54 etc?

Excellent race recommend to anyone
The route has improved greatly from years ago especially going through the town square with loads of spectators. A big thank you to the marshals who were all amazing and cheerful even in the rain.
Mike Barkway
A true runners run
Overall a very well organised event. Great location for start and finish. It was so good to not see pace makers in this run. Other runs are spoilt by the bunching of runners and take away the real personal challenge of completing the distance. Please keep it this way

Great experience all round
Everything was amazing from the parking to the venue. Marshals were great atmosphere was great.
Only small issues there just wasn't enough toilets at the start I waited 20 mins in the queue.
Philip Hogg
Fantastic organisation, great camaraderie, perfect event. A runners run.
Attention to detail was fantastic- even the single bollard in Abingdon village was protected by a marshal in high viz standing right in front of it.
Jon Panagiotidis
Completely brilliant day
Didn’t enjoy having to walk up and down the stairs to leave Tilsley park after the run
David Ashton
Well supported event with lots of helpful and friendly volunteers
Some variable quality pavements on the second half of the ‘lap’ and a bit of overgrown foliage to negotiate but generally a really good event
Gemma Winch
Loved it
I enjoyed the race SO much. Organisation was fab. Marshals on the course were amazing, so encouraging and helpful. The course is great too, this is my third time running it.
My only piece of constructive criticism would be the placement of the post race massage. It took up half of the ladies changing area meaning there wasn’t a lot of space in the other half. It was very cramped and loud with so many ladies in there. Really not a huge thing but just something to note.
Thank you Abingdon for a fantastic event

Excellent marshalling.
Although there weren't too many spectators en route there were loads of really friendly marshalls, water stops, feed stops etc. My only complaint was NOT with the organisers but with the 'First Aid' tent at the finish line. I was in absolute agony, unable to walk (I had an ongoing foot injury which I probably shouldn't have run on) and they completely ignored me. I had to ask them if I could sit down and have an ice pack and then I developed the most excruciating cramp which they also ignored. I had to beg them to help.
