Queues were too long

This is an especially well oiled machine. Considering that this is an event produced and executed by volunteers it’s exceptional! Extremely clear instructions, very good route, more water stops than the London Marathon, hundreds of friendly and helpful marshals. This is how it should be done. The exemplar of marathon organisations. Well done!

Great HQ facilities, flat, loads of water stations, loads of marshals… in fact more than I think I’ve ever seen in all the marathons I’ve ever run! Organisation was spot on as well. Whole heartedly recommend this marathon event. Thank you Abingdon

Only thing that was disappointing was at the end when I was craving some hot food but nothing for vegetarians (although I eat chicken too but none of that either). Had to get a McDonald's on the way home, which wasn't ideal

This was my 16th marathon but my first time running Abingdon, and I loved it. It’s a great course, lovely running through the town and surrounding areas. I’ve never run a marathon with 2 laps before and wasn’t sure if I’d like it but it was great seeing the same marshals second time round, all of whom are so supportive. I will definitely be back!

I was very impressed by how the event was managed with the Marshalls and traffic management. Good atmosphere around the course. As an occasional runner not aiming for a particular time (enjoyed the run but dropped out at my house around Mile 19 as hadn’t got another miles in my legs), the flow of runners did noticeably thin out after I started to struggle beyond half way (went through in c2hrs2mins). For anyone aiming for 4hr15mins+ particularly as a beginner, you may find it harder to maintain the momentum in the second half but couldn’t fault the friendliness and enthusiasm of the marshalls as I ambled round my last 6 miles or so.

Please continue the same way.

This was my second Abingdon and it just gets better. Superb organisation, and plentiful marshals who were enthusiastic, friendly and knowledgeable. I was going back to my car and they were still out there giving encouragement to all. I would definitely recommend to my running pals.

The marshals and course support is fantastic. There were a lot higher numbers of participants this year, I think the course could cope with it, but race HQ was very busy especially the toilets!

Had the worry of cars behind us and hardly no toilets

Nowhere near enough toilets, and in readily inefficient bag drop, clearly had not adapted to the larger number of runners. Shame as it spoiled what would have been a nice event

Personally I’m not wild about the laps of the running track, but I’m sure others are!

I thought I’d be “one and done,” but having a good experience today has made me wonder about future marathons. I’ll blame you for that!

Well organised, good facilities. Excellent number of water and feed stations. Plenty of friendly Marshalls. Toilets along the route. Plenty of jelly babies and fruit - thank you
